![]() ![]() I have steam controller and the dongle is smaller than the MS one and installs on everything without any problems. I mean trust MS to ship dodgy devices and drivers. Thankfully the Xbox one controller that comes with the dongle is bluetooth, so can use it that way, but I need the dongle to work to use the Xbox one elite controller I also got to play FPS games thinking the dongle would work seamlessly like the Xbox 360 wireless adapter. And this makes sense since the windows driver files are named exactly that "mt7612u.*" I thought I received a defective dongle and returned for a replacement but having the exact same problem. I know from an ubuntu forum and associated github that "the Wireless Adapter is- in principle- just a WiFi dongle based on the MediaTek MT7612U chipset" ( ). I tried the Microsoft Driver Catalog solution, tried moving the device to different ports, when I realised my motherboard only came with USB3.0 ports, I even went out and bought USB2.0 modules it still doesn't work. The driver wasn't on device Manager at first so I had to add it with Action -> add legacy hardware. When I plug xbox one remote into my Laptop it does not work, The Xbox Accessories app just says Plug a controller in to start. DualShock 3 users on Windows will need to install the official DualShock 3 drivers.
